Terms & Conditions
Effective date: 3 August 2026 | Last updated: 3 August 2026
These Terms & Conditions govern access to and use of italymove.it and the general information, enquiry features and relocation-related resources made available through the website.
Website operator
In these terms, “Italy Move”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the operator of italymove.it. The operator’s complete legal identity and business address should be added before publication when available.
1. Acceptance of these terms
By accessing or using the website, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the website. Additional written terms may apply to a consultation, paid relocation service, referral arrangement, subscription or other specific offering. If a specific service agreement conflicts with these website terms, the service agreement will control for that service.
2. Who may use the website
The website is intended for users who can legally enter into binding agreements. If you use the website for another person or organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to act for them and to provide any information you submit.
3. Purpose of Italy Move
Italy Move provides general information and enquiry-based assistance relating to moving to and living in Italy. Topics may include locations, housing, administrative processes, residency, visas, services, daily life and connections with independent professionals. Website content is intended to help users research and organise a relocation; it is not a substitute for official or individually tailored professional advice.
4. No government affiliation or guaranteed outcome
Italy Move is not an embassy, consulate, ministry, municipality, immigration office, tax authority or other public body. We cannot issue or approve visas, residence permits, citizenship, tax treatment, property transactions, licences, registrations or appointments. Decisions and processing times are controlled by the relevant authorities and third parties. No result, approval, appointment, property, price, timeline or availability is guaranteed.
5. No legal, tax, immigration, financial, property or medical advice
Unless expressly provided under a separate written agreement by a properly qualified professional, website content and general communications do not constitute legal, tax, immigration, financial, investment, insurance, real-estate, medical or other regulated advice. Rules and individual circumstances can change. Obtain advice from the relevant authority or qualified professional before acting on a matter that may affect your rights, status, finances, property or health.
6. Relocation enquiries and service arrangements
Submitting a form or sending an email does not create a client, agency, fiduciary, professional or contractual relationship.
We may request additional information before deciding whether and how we can assist.
Any scope, fee, payment schedule, cancellation right, deliverable, responsibility and timeline for a paid service should be stated in a separate written proposal or agreement.
We may decline an enquiry where the request is outside our scope, creates a conflict, involves unlawful activity or requires expertise we do not provide.
You remain responsible for checking deadlines, official requirements and the accuracy of documents submitted to authorities or third parties.
7. Independent third-party professionals and providers
Italy Move may identify or introduce independent lawyers, accountants, immigration professionals, property agents, insurers, translators, transport providers or other specialists. Unless a written agreement states otherwise, they are not employees or agents of Italy Move. Their advice, licences, fees, contracts, availability, performance and data practices are their own responsibility. You should evaluate a provider and read their terms before engaging them.
8. Information accuracy and changes
We aim to provide useful and reasonably current information, but Italian and EU rules, public procedures, fees, property markets, services and local practices can change without notice. Content may contain errors, omissions or summaries. Publication dates and update dates should be considered, and important information should be verified with an official source or qualified professional before you rely on it.
9. Your responsibilities
When using the website or contacting Italy Move, you agree to:
Provide information that is accurate, relevant and not misleading.
Have permission to share information about another person.
Protect confidential information and use secure channels when instructed.
Comply with applicable laws and the rights of others.
Independently review important decisions, deadlines, costs and official requirements.
Cooperate reasonably if you request a service or referral.
10. Prohibited use
You must not:
Use the website for fraud, unlawful activity, harassment or misrepresentation.
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, server, forms, accounts or connected systems.
Introduce malware, automated scraping, denial-of-service activity or other harmful code or traffic.
Copy, republish, sell, systematically extract or commercially exploit website content without permission, except where law expressly allows.
Impersonate Italy Move, a professional, public authority or another person.
Submit content that infringes privacy, confidentiality, intellectual property or other legal rights.
11. Intellectual property
The website design, brand elements, original text, graphics, databases, selection and arrangement of content, and other materials are owned by or licensed to Italy Move and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may view and print reasonable extracts for personal, non-commercial relocation research. No ownership rights are transferred. Written permission is required for republication, commercial reuse, data extraction, modification or distribution beyond what the law permits.
12. Content you submit
You retain ownership of material you submit. You grant Italy Move a limited, non-exclusive right to use, store, reproduce and share that material only as reasonably necessary to respond to your request, provide an agreed service, operate the website, meet legal obligations and protect rights. Do not submit material you are not authorised to share. Testimonials, photographs or case studies will not be published without an appropriate permission or other lawful basis.
13. Third-party links and embedded services
Links or embedded content may lead to government portals, maps, social platforms, booking systems, property websites or service providers. They are provided for convenience and do not automatically imply endorsement. Italy Move does not control their availability, security, content, prices or terms. Use them at your own discretion and review their policies.
14. Website availability and security
We may update, suspend, restrict or discontinue any part of the website without notice. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free or virus-free operation. You are responsible for maintaining suitable device security, backups and internet access. Report suspected security issues to info@italymove.it and do not publicly disclose a vulnerability before we have had a reasonable opportunity to investigate.
15. Fees, payments and consumer rights
Browsing general website content and sending an enquiry are free unless clearly stated otherwise. Fees for a paid service will be agreed separately before work begins. Nothing in these terms limits mandatory consumer rights. Where an online or distance contract is concluded with an eligible consumer, statutory information and withdrawal rights may apply, including a cooling-off period where required. A user who asks for a service to begin during that period may be asked to provide an express request and acknowledgement in accordance with applicable law.
16. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the website and general content are provided on an “as available” and informational basis. We do not make warranties that content is complete, current, suitable for every user or sufficient for a specific relocation decision. Mandatory warranties and consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded remain unaffected.
17. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where exclusion is prohibited, including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or mandatory consumer rights. Subject to that, Italy Move will not be liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of opportunity, loss caused by reliance on unverified general information, decisions of public authorities, or the acts and omissions of independent third parties. Any liability connected with a paid service will also be governed by the applicable service agreement.
18. Indemnity for misuse
To the extent permitted by law, you are responsible for losses and reasonable costs resulting from your unlawful misuse of the website, infringement of another person’s rights, or material breach of these terms. This clause does not apply to the extent a loss was caused by Italy Move or cannot lawfully be allocated to you.
19. Suspension and termination
We may restrict access, block abusive traffic, refuse communications or end a website-based interaction where reasonably necessary to protect users, comply with law, prevent fraud or security harm, address prohibited conduct, or preserve service capacity. Rights and obligations that by their nature should continue after termination will survive.
20. Applicable law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law applicable to the website operator, subject to any mandatory rights and protections that apply to consumers in their country of residence. Courts will have jurisdiction as determined by applicable law. Before starting formal proceedings, the parties are encouraged to contact each other and attempt to resolve the issue in good faith. The final operator identity, country of establishment and any required dispute-resolution information should be added before publication.
21. General provisions
Severability: if a provision is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply.
No waiver: a delay in enforcing a right does not waive that right.
Assignment: you may not transfer rights under these terms without consent; the operator may transfer them as part of a lawful business transfer, subject to applicable rights.
Entire website agreement: these terms, the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy form the general agreement governing website use, without replacing a separate service contract.
22. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms to reflect changes in the website, services or law. The revised version will be posted with a new “Last updated” date. Changes apply from publication unless a later date is stated. Material changes affecting an existing paid service will be handled according to the applicable service agreement and law.
